We can’t wait to bring you into the heart of the Pemberton Icefield. Here are answers to some of the most common questions about Beyond Whistler’s helicopter and ice cave experiences.

  • Our tours are designed for adventurers of all ages and skill levels - no previous mountain experience required. As long as you’re comfortable walking short distances on uneven or icy terrain, you’ll be able to enjoy this experience.

  • Safety is always our top priority. If weather conditions prevent us from flying, we’ll work with you to reschedule your tour at no additional cost. Please read our full reschedule and cancellation policies here.

  • Most of our tours last approximately 5 hours from check-in to return, including helicopter travel, guided exploration, and time to enjoy the glacier and ice caves. Exact timing may vary depending on weather and group size, but we’ll provide a detailed itinerary when you book

  • Yes - all guests must review and sign a release of liability waiver before participating in any Beyond Whistler experience.

  • Yes! Our experiences can be tailored to different ages and mobility levels, though conditions like snow, ice, or terrain may affect accessibility. Please reach out with any specific needs so we can plan the best experience for your group.

  • Yes! We encourage all guests to arrive in their own winter gear, however all necessary equipment, food, and outerwear will be provided. If guests do not have the appropriate outerwear and footwear, we will happily accommodate - please inquire in advance should you need any specific items.

  • Absolutely! Upgrades such as private chefs, extended flights, or aerial cinematography are available when booking a private experience.

  • The 3-person minimum refers to the minimum price point given the extensive helicopter costs associated with this experience. A single person may participate, provided the 3-person minimum rate is covered.

  • We can accommodate larger groups by arranging multiple shuttles or additional aircraft. The three-person minimum applies to each helicopter.

  • We typically fly A-Star helicopters, which seat up to 5 passengers (4 guests plus 1 guide).

  • Yes! Guests are welcome to take photos throughout the experience. For drones, please let us know in advance so we can ensure safe and responsible use in the backcountry environment.

  • Yes! We’re happy to accommodate dietary needs or preferences with advance notice. Please share your requirements when booking so we can tailor your mountain dining experience.
